Your included golf cart is half the fun. It’s the easy way to the beach, the parks and the on-site supermarket — and simply cruising the resort at golden hour is a highlight in its own right. Families with toddlers tell us the golf cart rides are the kids’ favourite part.
Sherkston’s FunPlex has waterslides and splash areas that older kids and teens love (one group celebrated a 13th birthday on the slides). FunPlex access requires a wristband paid directly to Sherkston — ask at the resort for current pricing and hours.
You don’t have to leave the resort for the essentials. Sherkston has an on-site supermarket, food options and seasonal food trucks, plus family activities like mini-golf and an arcade. It’s a short golf-cart hop for a forgotten-something run or an ice cream.
Evenings are for the covered deck and the fire pit. The old quarry and the lake give Sherkston its famous sunsets, and there’s often a Saturday-night fireworks display over the resort. Guests describe “endless belly laughs around the fire” — that’s the cottage at its best.
