How does check-in work?
Check-in is anytime after 3:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. You will receive a smart-lock keypad code 48 hours before arrival, sent after your balance is paid. Stop at the main Sherkston gate, give your name and let them know you are staying at 116 Quarry Meadows.
What counts as a week, and what does it cost?
A week is either Monday to Friday (4 nights) or Friday to Monday (3 nights) at the same flat rate, and you can stack both for a full Monday to Monday. Peak season (July 2 to Labour Day (September 7)) is $1,900 mid-week or $1,700 weekend; off-season is $900 mid-week or $800 weekend. Golf cart and cleaning are included in every stay.
Is the golf cart really included?
Yes. Every stay at Quarry Meadows includes the golf cart at no extra fee, with the charger and wheel lock. It is the easy way to get to the beach and the supermarket without the walk.
How do I pay, and what is the booking policy?
An e-transfer to quarrymeadows116@gmail.com is easiest, and cash is also accepted. A down payment plus a $400 refundable security deposit holds your dates, and the balance is due 14 days before check-in. Booking direct saves you the roughly 14 to 16 percent that Airbnb charges guests in service fees.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 30 days before check-in for a full refund. Inside 30 days, the down payment is forfeited but your security deposit is returned. The security deposit is refunded within 7 days after check-out, assuming no damage.
Can I bring a pet?
We are a no-pets, no-smoking cottage, which keeps the home allergen-friendly for guests with sensitivities. Pets brought without prior written approval forfeit the security deposit.
Who has to be 25, and what about ID?
The primary renter whose name is on the contract must be 25 or older. All guests 18 and over need to provide photo ID for Sherkston registration before arrival. The cottage is limited to 6 guests and 2 vehicles, with no day visitors or events.
What do I need to bring?
The cottage is professionally cleaned before every stay, but you bring your own sheets, pillowcases and towels, plus toiletries, dish soap, paper products and food. There is a Keurig (bring your own pods) and a standard coffee maker. See our printable packing checklist for the full list.
Is there WiFi?
Yes. Sherkston has a free resort-wide network and the cottage has its own WiFi as well. The details are posted by the coffee station when you arrive.
What about kids and water safety?
Families are very welcome. Children under 13 must wear approved life jackets near the pier, docks and water. Life jackets are not provided, so please bring your own.
